Cascade Clamps - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company began as a small machine store hiring just four people. Total sales for that initial year amounted to about 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and other parts. During 5 years of operation, the company had stretched to 40 employees and their annual sales volume had risen to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. These days, Cascade is amongst the leading global producers in the material handling industry.

Manufacture and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of better business possibilities. During the past 60 years, the material handling industry has developed into a very advanced field and Cascade has proudly played a part in this improvement. In the nineteen fifties, Cascade began designing, making and selling hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was finished in the year 1956 on a brand new facility to be able to accommodate all office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. After 15 years of business, total workers reached one hundred eighty employees and sales had reached nearly 2.3 million dollars.

The next production plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry while the company recognized interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

The business changed its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the U.S. with locations in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio. Cascade products are made worldwide thanks to lots of subsidiary operations. In 1994, a brand new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European control center. This plant is built to be the essential customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and 1997 subsequent to buying 5 corporations, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global best in forks.
